Data center locations
Dedicated server locations. Three in the US, two in the EU.
Our dedicated server locations are five data centers: New York, Miami and San Francisco in the United States, Amsterdam and Bucharest in the European Union. All five run on our own network, AS19624, and every dedicated server in them is a whole physical machine rented to one customer.

- Test IP in every city
Choose the city nearest the people who use your service. Each location below names its building, gives a test IP you can ping right now and lists the server lines you can order there.

Choosing a city
Which server location is closest to your users
Put the server where most of your users are. Distance sets the floor for latency, and no amount of hardware buys it back.
| Most of your users are in | Start with | Add next |
|---|---|---|
| US East Coast, Canada | New York | Amsterdam, for Europe |
| Florida, the Caribbean, Latin America | Miami | New York |
| US West Coast | San Francisco | New York |
| Asia-Pacific, mainland China | San Francisco | Amsterdam too, if your users are on China Mobile |
| UK and Western Europe | Amsterdam | New York, for North America |
| Eastern Europe, the Balkans | Bucharest | Amsterdam |
| The whole United States | New York and San Francisco | Miami |
Measure it yourself
The numbers that count are the ones from your users' networks. Every location has a test IP and a speed test page. From a terminal on one of their networks:
ping 89.39.149.246 traceroute 89.39.149.246
On Windows the second command is tracert. To look from our side, the looking glass runs ping, traceroute and BGP queries from our routers in New York and Bucharest toward any address you give it.
Users in mainland China have their own page: serving users in China lists the latency we measured from each city to each Chinese carrier.

Which servers you can order in each city
Not every server line is sold in every city. This table is read from the order catalogue each time the page loads, the same list the configurator works from. A filled dot means you can configure that line in that city.

Network
One network behind every location
All five data centers route through AS19624, the autonomous system registered to Data Room, Inc. in 2006, which announces our own IPv4 and IPv6 space. No reseller sits between your server and the internet, and you can check that on bgp.tools.
Bandwidth is unmetered in every city. Nothing counts your traffic: no monthly allowance and no overage charge at any port speed. The faster ports are on unmetered bandwidth.
We own the servers and the network. We lease the space in New York, Miami, San Francisco and Amsterdam, and built the Bucharest room ourselves. The certifications listed on each city page belong to the building.
- DeliveryA ready server goes live about 30 minutes after the order is approved. A build to order takes 4 to 24 hours.
- BillingServers in the US are billed in US dollars, servers in Amsterdam and Bucharest in euros. Month to month, no contract.
- Service agreementNetwork downtime longer than 15 consecutive minutes earns a service credit.
- SupportOur AI assistant in chat answers in seconds and can check your account and your servers. Ask for a person and one takes over.

Questions about our server locations
Where are Server Room's dedicated servers located?
In five data centers: New York at 60 Hudson Street, Miami at Digital Realty MIA10, San Francisco at Digital Realty OAK10 in Oakland, Amsterdam at Iron Mountain AMS-1 in Haarlem, and Bucharest in our own room at Feper Business Center. All five run on our network, AS19624.
What is a data center server?
A physical server mounted in a rack inside a data center, which supplies its power, cooling and network connection. A dedicated server is one of those machines rented whole to one customer: every core, all the memory and disks, and root access. Ours stand in the five buildings listed on this page.
Is a data center room the same as a server room?
Close, but not quite. A server room is usually one room inside an office building. A data center room, or data hall, is space in a building made for servers, with redundant power and cooling and controlled entry. In New York, Miami, San Francisco and Amsterdam our racks stand in leased data halls; in Bucharest we built the room ourselves.
Which server location gives the lowest latency to my users?
The one nearest them in network terms. Ping each location's test IP from a machine on your users' network and compare the results. The gap between two cities is usually far larger than any difference between two servers.
Can I choose the data center when I order?
Yes. The configurator asks for a location and offers only the cities where that server line is sold. The table of servers per city on this page shows the same list.
Is the San Francisco data center in San Francisco?
It is in Oakland, at Digital Realty's building at 720 2nd Street, across the bay from San Francisco. It serves the Bay Area and the rest of the US West Coast.
Can I run servers in more than one location?
Yes. Order a server in each city you need on the same account, and each one gets its own public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. New York with Amsterdam covers both sides of the Atlantic; New York with San Francisco covers both US coasts.
Do prices change between locations?
Mostly the currency changes. Servers in the US are billed in US dollars. In Amsterdam and Bucharest the same build is billed at the same figure in euros as its New York price in dollars. The configurator shows the exact price for the city you pick.
