Follow each step carefully to configure the SamCast Windows Media Statistics relay with your Server Room server credentials.

Add a MediaPoint Manager relay

Press the Statistics button in the SamCast main window. When the Statistic page opens, click the + button to add a new relay. From the list select MediaPoint Manager (Windows Media) and click OK.

Enter your Server Room credentials

Enter your Server Room Windows Media stream address in the MPM Host field. Use your publishing point as the username and enter your password. The MPM port must remain 8008. Click OK to save.

Force update and confirm

After saving, right-click on the newly created statistics relay entry and click Force Update to trigger an immediate refresh and confirm the relay is active.

Where do I find my Server Room WMA streaming address and publishing point?

Your Windows Media streaming address, publishing point, and password are available in your Server Room account dashboard under your radio server details.

Why must the MPM port stay at 8008?

Port 8008 is the fixed port used by the MediaPoint Manager protocol for Windows Media statistics. Changing it will prevent SamCast from communicating with the relay endpoint.

What should I use as the username?

Use your Server Room publishing point as the username in the MPM configuration window.

What should I do if the statistics don't update automatically?

Right-click the relay entry in the Statistics window and select Force Update to manually trigger a refresh.

Why does the relay fail to connect?

Verify your MPM Host address, publishing point, and password are entered exactly as shown in your Server Room dashboard. Make sure your Server Room service is active and no firewall is blocking port 8008.
