FAQ
Quick answers about uploads, scheduling, live sources, and everything else you need to know before going on air with Server Room.
What audio formats can I upload to the platform?
Our cloud platform accepts a wide range of audio formats including MP3, AAC, OGG, WAV, and FLAC. Files of different formats and bitrates can sit in the same playlist and our platform will play them back seamlessly without any conversion on your part.
Can I schedule shows weeks or months in advance?
Yes. The built-in calendar lets you schedule shows by day, week, or month and you can color-code each DJ or program to keep everything organized. Recurring shows can be set to repeat on selected weekdays until a specific date or indefinitely.
What happens if my live DJ disconnects from the stream?
If either the Show Source or Master Source disconnects, the platform automatically falls back to Scheduled Play so your station stays on air. When the live source comes back, it takes over again without any manual intervention.
Can I broadcast to more than one server at the same time?
Yes. You can broadcast to up to three different streaming servers simultaneously, which is useful for diversifying your audience or maintaining a backup of your stream on a separate server.
Do I need to keep my computer on for the station to broadcast?
No. Because the platform runs in the cloud, your station broadcasts 24/7 from our servers using the playlists and schedule you have configured. You only need to be online when uploading content, editing playlists, or going live with a DJ.
